How many hours are included in the rental fee?
We do not calculate the rental fee by hours. Instead, the rental fee is for 2 nights. You may always lengthen your stay as well, depending on availability!
How many other weddings will be booked that day?
We only have 1 wedding per day.
Is the venue available for exclusive use?
Yes. Only 1 reservation party at a time.
Music & Lighting
Are there any noise restrictions?
Yes. You can play music until midnight.
Can we play music outside?
Yes. You can play music until midnight.
Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band?
Yes. You can have a DJ and/or live band.
Can I add outdoor lighting?
Yes. You can hire someone to add lighting such as string lights, chandeliers, etc. to outside areas.
What is included in the rental fee?
Included in the rental are 40 chairs, 10 rectangular tables that seat 10 guests, the yard for the ceremony and reception site, and the 2 night use of the vacation rental.
What is excluded from the rental fee?
Excluded from the rental fee is a wedding coordinator, day of coordinator, catering, alcohol, decorations, equipment rentals, etc.
What areas of the property can we use?
The entire property is available for your exclusive use. This includes the 10,000 sq ft vacation rental.
Is the venue space indoor/outdoor?
You have access to the entire 7 acres of the property. This includes the grass area for the ceremony and reception. This also includes the 10,000 sq ft vacation rental as well. We recommend you have the reception in a tent outdoors. The house does not contain a ballroom or one room large enough for a lot of guests.
Are areas handicapped accessible?
Yes. It is possible for a ramp to be put in.
How many people will the venue accommodate?
The wedding venue can accommodate 125 guests.
How many people will the vacation rental accommodate?
The vacation rental can accommodate 22 overnight guests.
How many restrooms are there and where are they?
There are 8.5 restrooms located inside the vacation rental.
What is the security deposit?
A $1,000 deposit is required to hold the date.
What is the damage deposit?
$500 and refundable. It is due 45 days prior to the event date.
When is payment due?
50% is due 6 months prior to the event date. 100% is due 60 days prior to the event date.
How do I pay for my booking?
We accept payment in the forms of cash, check, and PayPal.
Do you require wedding liability insurance?
No, however we strongly encourage it.
Are there any other fees?
There is a cleaning fee of $399.
Is there a required/preferred vendor list?
We provide a choice of caterers or you can choose your own. We do not charge vendor fees and there are no food and beverage minimums.
Can I bring in my own caterer?
Yes, you may use vendors of your choice or we can recommend some to you. We have a prep kitchen on site as well.
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
Yes, but it has to be served by a TABC licensed bartender. No self-service or sale of alcohol is permitted.
Who is responsible for the setup and tear down of the tent/tables/chairs?
Can I set up a tent?
Yes. There are plenty of Murfreesboro rental agencies who will set up a tent for you.
Do you have high chairs available?
No, we do not have high chairs readily available.
Will there be any Genesis staff at the venue to help me?
Do you provide a wedding coordinator?
No. A wedding coordinator is not included in the rental free. You can choose your own or we can recommend some to you.
Are there any overnight accommodations onsite or nearby?
Yes. We have 9 bedrooms onsite. The closest hotel is 25 minutes away. Here is a list of Murfreesboro hotels.
Do you have a bride and groom suite?

Yes. you have access to the entire 8 bedroom vacation rental and all of its rooms.
Are you pet friendly?
Yes! Dogs are welcome anywhere on the property. This includes inside the vacation rental as well. We just require a $150 pet fee.
Do you allow smoking on premises?
Yes, but in designated area only.
What Is the parking situation?
There is plenty of parking on the premises.
If I am staying at a nearby hotel, will a shuttle get me?
You can hire a limo or a shuttle for your guests.
What happens if it rains?
We suggest you rent a tent just in case the weather doesn’t want to cooperate.
